Trump’s Daily Lie

The purpose of this page is to chronicle Donald Trump’s lies, day-by-day.  Of course, he tells far more than one lie each day, so, as time goes on, I’ll move older lies to a new page.  Trump’s Daily Lie — starting with the most recent.

March 14, 2017:  Trump’s Lie for Today

White House estimate — which they tried to hide but someone leaked it — says 26 million Americans will lose their health insurance by 2026 — 2 million more than the CBO estimate.

BONUS:  Another Trump Lie for March 14 !!!

This morning Trump was showing off a doctor from Texas who claimed Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act was a failure in Texas.  Two problems:

1.  Texas did not participate in Medicaid expansion.

2.  The physician — Robin Armstrong — is a member of the Texas State Republican Committee.

Another day, another Trump lie.

March 7, 2017

Here’s Trump’s lie for March 7.  Or, to be exact, here’s the lie with which he started the day . . . no doubt, many more will follow before today is over.

Donald J. Trump‏
122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!

He took the 122 number from a Fox News broadcast, but he assumed the prisoners were released by the Obama admin, when in fact it was the Bush admin.   As of July 2016, 122 former Guantanamo detainees were confirmed to be re-engaging in terrorism, while another 86 were suspected to be, according to the most recent Office of the Director of National Intelligence report on former Guantanamo detainees released in September.

Of those confirmed, 113 were released by former President George W. Bush and nine were released by Obama.

The disturbing thing is that Trump lying in these tweets doesn’t really seem to matter to his fans.
